Real Madrid 3-0 Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey

Real Madrid 3-0 Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday. Marcelo, who was an unused substitute in the ill-tempered tie, was warming down after the match when a handful of Atlético supporters remaining in the stadium allegedly made monkey noises and chanting "Marcelo is a monkey". Later on the Brazilian was joined on the pitch by his young son, whereupon the 500-strong group changed their chant to "May your father die."

Jese poked past Thibaut Courtois either side of deflected goals from Pepe and Angel Di Maria, in a first leg at the Santiago Bernabeu that was often overshadowed by constant and unseemly sniping between the two sets of players.

Diego Costa, perhaps the instigator of much of the bad blood as he immediately set about a physical battle with Pepe, was eventually booked for his antics—a yellow card that means he will miss next week’s second leg at the Vicente Calderon.

Shorn of their star striker, Atletico’s hopes of overturning their deficit look extremely slim, although their overall performance perhaps did not warrant a three-goal deficit.

Both Diego Costa and Ronaldo didn't score in this game, Ronaldo just won the golden ball and Diego Costa is Atletico Madrid's top striker as well as in the La Liga. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are Madrid city's two soccer team. Their next game will be hold in the next week.
