Arsenal 0-0 Manchester United

In the  26th round focus Premiership battle, Arsenal against Manchester United, Van Persie missed the solo shoot opportunity in the opening of the match. In the second half his header hit the crossbar, Arsenal at home 0-0 draw with Manchester United, the Gunners end of two consecutive three straight at home victorious, 1 point behind Chelsea continue to # 2, Manchester United is still ranked No. 7.

Arsenal and Manchester United are both reeling from embarrassing results at the weekend and looking to restore credibility (and three vital points) when they meet tonight.

Arsenal can climb back to the top of the table with victory having lost top spot to Chelsea with a 5-1 thrashing at Liverpool on Saturday. United, meanwhile, will remain seventh even if they complete the double over their rivals.

In both 2008 and 2011 they entered this month well positioned for silverware on at least three different fronts but suffered results that sparked dramatic collapses. The major catalyst in 2008 was the 2-2 Premier League draw at Birmingham City when Eduardo broke his leg.

Arsenal and Manchester United are both like red devils and this draw result is okey to me. But Van Persie's low performance is something important. As a former gunner, Van Persie suffered what I can't image.
